Carol Harris is a watercolor artist residing in the Twin Cities. With the beauty of God's creation and the places she has lived and traveled, she seldom finds it difficult to find new subjects to paint. When asked what she likes to paint, her answer is usually, “Whatever strikes me at the moment, whether it’s portraits, flowers, wildlife, etc. Of course, there’s never enough time to paint all the things I’d love to paint!” Some of her paintings are playful, and some are serious; she loves to convey an emotion or a concept or simply bring joy to the viewer. Carol is currently a member of the Minnesota Watercolor Society.
Carol grew up in Kansas; she and her husband have since lived in Dallas, Houston, Cleveland, and San Diego before moving to the Minneapolis area. Learning to paint someday was a dream she had always had, but raising her children took priority. When a friend offered to teach her to paint with watercolor, she eagerly accepted. To continue to hone her painting skills, she has since had the privilege of taking classes through San Diego Continuing Education and with instructors such as Drew Bandish, Ken Goldman, Keiko Tanabe, and others. |
